Cancelled for 2020
Realizing that the coronavirus is going to be with us longer than we thought and that it’s increasingly unlikely that mass gatherings for social dancing will be safe by late summer, it is with great sadness that we are cancelling the Netherfield Ball for 2020.
The Netherfield Ball is our annual beginners ball, held at the start of the English Country Dance season at the end of August, featuring a simple set of dances and calling by Lisa Brown. No experience with English Country Dancing is assumed or required.
Later Balls feature progressively more difficult dances, culminating in the grand Jane Austen Ball in the spring.
