ECD is back! Yes, that’s right!
English Country Dancing is back at First Baptist Church on Sundays from 6:30 – 9:30 pm.
We are starting with a soft opening in July of 2021.
We’ve have missed all of you and can’t wait to see you again!
To dance at First Baptist, we have agreed to follow the rules established by the church.
- Please do not come to a dance if you have a temperature, loss of smell or taste, a cough, a cold, or are feeling unwell.
- Only fully vaccinated people will be allowed into Hubbell Hall. This includes our tech crew, caller, musicians, dancers, and observers.
- Fully vaccinated means that two weeks have passed since receiving the second of two shots of Moderna or Pfizer vaccines or two weeks have passed since receiving the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
- We will be checking for official proof of vaccination at the door. There will be no entry into Hubbell Hall, even to drop off coats, purses, bags, or shoes, without showing proof of vaccination.
- Masks are strongly encouraged even for fully vaccinated people, but not required.
- Any unvaccinated people, who are dropping off or picking up someone from our events, will not be allowed into Hubbell Hall and must wear masks and maintain social distance if they enter church buildings.
- No communal food or beverage consumption. The water fountains are closed. We will not set out cups, plates, or pitchers of water. No tables will be set up. Water bottles are recommended and can be refilled at the kitchen sink. Any water bottles left behind after the dance will be discarded. Individuals can bring food, but it cannot be shared outside of family groups.
- The windows in Hubbell Hall will be open, regardless of the outside temperature, while we are using the space.
- Restroom use is at your own risk.
- Liberal hand sanitizer use is recommended.
