Details
Our annual Saturday afternoon dance designed to introduce novices to English country dancing. Lisa Brown and Richard Sauvain will teach you all you need to know to enjoy dances from Jane Austen’s time. There will be Regency period costumes, delectable refreshments, gorgeous live music, a Ball featuring easy and fun dances, and many experienced dancers (including our English dance demo team) to help new folks. 2-6 PM at First Baptist. Admission $10. No dance on Aug. 25.
The flyer can be found here.
The Netherfield Ball is the first in our annual series of four balls which take place throughout the academic year. The difficulty of the dances at our balls increases as the year progresses. Each ball builds upon the skills learned in the previous one making it possible to start as a beginner at the Netherfield Ball and finish as a confident, successful dancer at the Jane Austen Ball.
Attending our regular Sunday evening dances will help improve your dancing skills and increase your enjoyment of any of our balls.
