Nancy Spero
Ithaca caller Nancy Spero is especially welcome in Rochester. In addition to being a fine contra dance caller, Nancy is particularly interested in the music and moves of traditional, old-time square dancing and she calls for square dances held several times a year in the greater Ithaca area. On our stage, she is always smiling and moving to the music of the band.

Clinton’s Folly
Dan Lynch (banjo, guitar, fiddle), Clara Riedlinger (fiddle), Allegra Whiting (cello)
Clinton’s Folly is a three-piece string band from Rochester, NY, blending the sounds of the Erie Canal, Adirondacks, and Genesee Valley regions with the mountain music tradition of Appalachia. Dan Lynch is a music teacher and historian with deep roots in the New York State music tradition. Clara Riedlinger is a fiddle player and ballad singer who travels throughout the mountain region soaking up tunes from elders and tradition-bearers. Allegra Whiting is an Eastman School of Music and Juilliard trained cellist who caught the old time bug and discovered that there is no cure!
