Pinewoods is a place of magic.

Every year, Cindy would come back from Pinewoods saying how wonderful, amazing, life-changing, and joyous it was, that everyone should go. I thought, “Nothing could be that great.” I was wrong. Pinewoods was an oasis in the middle of a dry, dry desert. In the midst of a pandemic, after nearly a year and a half of no social dancing events, there we were: eating delicious food, dancing with new friends, playing music together, even square dancing in the pond. In a normal year, it would have been a heart-warming adventure. In 2021, it was heaven.

I am so grateful to have received a scholarship to Pinewoods. Three years into this pandemic we need safe ways to connect now more than ever. If this speaks to you, I encourage you wholeheartedly to apply for a scholarship. Come fill your cup with joy!
